JOB DESCRIPTION
An internationally recognised leader in the fields of facilities, property and infrastructure management services with operations in major cities in Nigeria and outside is seeking to employ a Human Resources Manager who can develop effective relationships with line managers and provide a professional HR service to the business.
The candidate will work as a trusted and integral team lead reporting to the Head of Business Support, will have the following responsibilities:
RESPONSIBILITIES
Recruitment and selection – direct and manage the recruitment and selection process, working with line managers on job specification, selection, interviewing and assessment procedures
Performance management – deliver performance management programs that drive a high performance culture.
Learning and development – Work with team leads to identify appropriate learning and development programs, implement and monitor effectiveness of same.
Human resources policy – Update existing HR policies, implement and monitor the policies across the organisation, including training programs to educate and promote awareness of regulatory compliance.
Reporting and management of human resources metrics – produce reports on key metrics, including, learning & development effectiveness, culture alignment, remuneration and benefits, absenteeism and turnover.
Leadership – mentor direct reports and provide coaching to help them reach their potential. Provide guidance and guidelines for Team Leads to achieve same.
Administration – Provide direction and support for the day-to-day running of the administrative function across the organisation
Candidates need:
A tertiary qualification in human resources management or business management and good knowledge of and over 5-year experience within an HR environment.
Superior interpersonal, negotiation, coaching, communication and consultative skills.
A demonstrated track record in developing and implementing strategic business and HR objectives within a multi-business organisation
Ability to engage with and win the respect of leaders to successfully influence them on key change initiatives.
Demonstrated commitment to health, safety and environmental policies and procedures, including development and training of staff in these areas.
